27,000 Applications foreign workers have been approved
27,000 applications to bring in foreign workers have been approved. How many foreign workers are coming in is anybody's guess but 27,000 man (man here is used in a generic way) is sure. It can also be 270,000. Compliance with the SDMC's Covid.19 SOPs is mentioned.
We the rakyat are assuming that the employers will pay for the Covid-19 screening and this is a cost factor that cannot be ignored by anyone.
We are not going to ask you (CM Abang Johari and SDMC) how or what mechanism you are going to employ to ensure that ALL foreign workers coming in are screened before they are sent to their respective workplaces.
Because you approved the application of the permits, the onus is on you to ensure that no Covid.19 clusters arises from any groups of foreign workers. In short the liability is yours.
Be forewarned that If the local population is jeopardize by this decision, we the rakyat will hold you responsible.
