INTRODUCTION

Open Letter to our beloved Sarawak leaders.

It is time to take your heads out of the sand and see the bigger picture. 

"Do you know that you are now part of the Perikatan Nasional government together with Abang Jo and PAS/UMNO"?

A Perikatan National government with all Malay-centric parties and led by a Prime Minister who proudly declares “I am Malay first…” . Muhyiddin Yassin has also openly declared war against Secularism & Liberalism.

On 28th November 2020, at Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPMB) AGM, the Prime Minister was quoted as saying the PN government alliance with Umno and PAS, was ‘God’s will’, and “vows fight against secularism, liberalism”.

The Sarawakian culture of living together in peace and harmony is now officially under threat from Malayan-style politics.

Where does that leave secular Sarawak, with its Dayak-majority population ? Throughout the 4 corners of Sarawak, questions are now being asked why Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), the state-ruling coalition, should lend its support to the current federal-ruling coalition (Perikatan Nasional) if GPS was not going to make demands on behalf of the Sarawak people ? 

The answer seems to be that the PBB-led GPS is following them simply because of racial loyalties. Your boss, Abang Jo is still unwilling to come clean and insists that “people from various races and religions should put aside their differences and come together as one in order to progress and fight for more rights under the Malaysia Agreement 1963”.

However, these are mere words from the Chief Minister of Sarawak. 

We all know now that he has words aplenty without substance and “cakap tidak serupa bikin”.
